MERCURY RACING 575 SCI WHIPPLE LOW PROFILE INTERCOOLER

The Mercury Racing 575 SCI Whipple Low Profile Intercooler is an application-specific Whipple Cooler system designed for the Mercury Racing 575 SCI engine package. The assembly combines a low-profile intake manifold with an integrated intercooler system to provide effective charge-air cooling while minimizing additional engine-package height.

This configuration is designed around the 9.80" standard-deck Mercury Racing 575 SCI application. Finish options include gloss black and Hi-Performance Blue.

The standard configuration uses a cupronickel (CuNi) intercooler core. CuNi construction provides excellent corrosion resistance and heat-transfer capability, making it particularly well suited to demanding marine environments. An aluminum intercooler core is also available as a lower-cost configuration.

The Whipple CuNi intercooler uses cupronickel water passages and copper-alloy air fins to support both corrosion resistance and efficient heat transfer. The intercooler core uses rugged bar-plate construction with TIG-welded components and a multi-pass water-flow design intended to make effective use of the available cooling surface.

The low-profile Whipple Cooler architecture is designed to package the intercooler within the intake manifold while keeping overall engine-package height to a minimum. Optional thermostat housing configurations are available to accommodate different marine cooling-system and plumbing requirements.
