WHIPPLE STAGE 1 PCM CALIBRATION UPGRADE

The Whipple Stage 1 PCM Calibration Upgrade is designed for compatible Mercury Racing 525 HP EFI applications. This calibration service is intended for customers who want more performance from a properly running engine while retaining the existing PCM.

The Whipple Stage 1 calibration increases maximum power by more than 25 HP and 30 lb-ft of torque when used on the proper application with the correct fuel and setup. It also increases low-RPM power to help reduce plane time, while improving acceleration and throttle response across low, mid, and high speed operating ranges.

The factory RPM limit is raised from 5400 RPM to 6000 RPM, giving customers additional propping range and the ability to better use the available horsepower with the correct propeller setup. The calibration is designed for 91 octane fuel using the (RON+MON)/2 rating method and maintains stock idle, starting, and drivability characteristics.

Calibration Service Process

The PCM must be removed and sent to Whipple Superchargers for calibration service. Include a copy of the receipt and all relevant engine, boat, fuel, PCM, propeller, and setup details with the PCM. Typical turnaround time is 7-10 days.

New PCM units may be available upon request. Custom calibration work may require additional information, testing, and revision time depending on the engine combination.
