The Whipple Mercury Marine/Racing Motorola 555 ECM/PCM Repair Service is designed for customers who have a failed computer and want a repair option instead of replacing the entire ECM or PCM. Whipple can repair many 2001-2018 model year Motorola 555 ECM and PCM units used on Mercury Marine and Mercury Racing engines.

Common repairable issues may include IAC failures, total power loss, coil driver failures, fuel pump staying on, and other ECM/PCM faults. This service can help avoid the cost of replacing a complete computer when the existing unit can be repaired.

The process is straightforward: remove the ECM/PCM from the engine, ship it to Whipple Superchargers with detailed information about the failure, symptoms, and any trouble codes found, and Whipple will inspect the unit for repair. Each completed repair includes a 1-year warranty on the repair. A minimum $100 inspection fee applies whether the ECM/PCM can be repaired or not.
