WHIPPLE GM BIG BLOCK MOAC INTERCOOLER

The Whipple GM Big Block MOAC Intercooler combines Whipple's modular 671-based GM Big Block intake manifold with the MOAC (Mother Of All Intercoolers) intercooler system. The MOAC configuration provides increased intercooler capacity for Whipple twin-screw, Quad Rotor, roots-style, and other compatible forced-induction combinations.

The manifold is compatible with Whipple 3.3L, 3.8L, 4.0L, 4.5L, 5.0L, 8.3L, and Quad Rotor superchargers. With the appropriate billet adapter plate, the 671-based manifold can also support 671 through 1471 roots-style superchargers from manufacturers such as B&M and Weiand.

Cast from high-strength A356-T6 aluminum, the manifold is available for both standard deck (9.8") and tall deck (10.2") GM Big Block configurations. The modular design allows the assembly to be configured around the required deck height, finish, supercharger adapter plate, MOAC intercooler material, and thermostat housing.

The standard MOAC configuration uses a cupronickel (CuNi) intercooler core. CuNi construction provides excellent corrosion resistance and heat-transfer capability, making it especially well suited to demanding environments including marine applications. An aluminum MOAC intercooler core is also available as a lower-cost configuration.

Multiple billet adapter plate configurations are available to support common supercharger and blower layouts. Depending on the selected configuration, the system can support 671/871 applications, 1" offset 1071 applications, B&M 250/420 applications, and Weiand 256 applications.

Applicable billet adapter plates are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and are designed to maintain effective airflow distribution through the supercharger and manifold assembly.

The 671-based manifold architecture can also be adapted for other forced-induction combinations, including turbocharged or centrifugal-supercharger systems, when used with the appropriate custom adapter.

For applicable fuel-injected Whipple supercharger combinations, verify distributor clearance and any required spacer or adapter components before ordering.
