WHIPPLE GM BIG BLOCK 671 BLOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD

The Whipple GM Big Block 671 Blower Intake Manifold is a highly versatile manifold platform for marine and competition-use GM big block forced-induction applications. Designed around a modular 671-based layout, this manifold gives engine builders a flexible foundation for Whipple twin-screw, Quad Rotor, and roots-style supercharger combinations.

The manifold is compatible with Whipple 3.3L, 3.8L, 4.0L, 4.5L, 5.0L, 8.3L, and Quad Rotor superchargers. With the proper billet adapter plate, the 671 bolt pattern can also support 671 through 1471 roots-style superchargers from manufacturers such as B&M and Weiand.

Cast from high-strength A356-T6 aluminum, the manifold is available in standard deck (9.8") and tall deck (10.2") configurations. The modular three-piece design allows the manifold to be configured for non-intercooled use, Standard CuNi marine intercooler cores, or MOAC CuNi marine intercooler cores depending on the engine package, cooling requirement, and installation layout.

The optional Whipple marine intercooler configurations are built around cupronickel core technology for harsh marine environments. CuNi intercooler cores are commonly used in marine applications because the water passages offer corrosion resistance in brackish and saltwater environments, while copper-alloy air fins support efficient heat transfer.

This manifold can also be configured with manifold finish, supercharger adapter plate, and thermostat housing options to better match the build. Finish options include natural, gloss black, Mercury Racing Blue, polished, and custom color configurations. Adapter options support common 671-871, 1071-1471, B&M, and Weiand blower layouts, while thermostat housing options are available for compatible marine plumbing setups.

The low-profile Whipple cooler design works with both intercooler options and supports optional billet adapter plates machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. These adapters feature an 8 inch wide opening for effective airflow distribution while maintaining a compact 1.5 inch height. The 671 bolt pattern can also be adapted for turbocharged or centrifugal supercharger systems using custom adapters.

For fuel-injected Whipple 3.3L, 3.8L, 4.0L, 4.5L, 5.0L, 8.3L, and Quad Rotor applications using the standard intercooler, a 1 inch billet spacer is required to provide proper distributor clearance.
