WHIPPLE STAGE 4 PERFORMANCE KIT

The Whipple Stage 4 Performance Kit for Mercury Racing 662 SCI applications is a complete high-performance upgrade package that combines Stage 4 calibration, increased boost support, camshaft upgrade components, improved intercooler system performance, and supporting airflow hardware. This package includes a Stage 4 PCM calibration, Stage 4 supercharger pulley, Stage 4 camshaft kit, intercooler water re-route kit, and high-flow billet flame arrestor.

The Whipple Stage 4 camshaft is designed to work with the stock valve train for a simpler camshaft upgrade path. The Stage 4 system is listed to increase engine output by more than 240 HP and 190 lb-ft of torque under Whipple test conditions. Whipple also increases low-RPM power to help reduce plane time and deliver a strong gain in acceleration.

The factory RPM limit is raised from 5400 RPM to 6200 RPM, giving customers a wider propping range and additional top-speed potential when the boat, prop, conditions, and setup support it. The Stage 4 calibration is designed for 91 octane fuel using the (R+M)/2 rating method while maintaining stock-style idle, starting, and driveability.

Calibration Service Process

The PCM must be removed and sent to Whipple Superchargers for calibration service. Include a copy of the receipt and any relevant engine, boat, fuel, prop, PCM, pulley, camshaft, flame arrestor, intercooler water system, and setup details with the PCM. Typical turnaround time is 7-10 days.

New PCM units may be available upon request. Verify PCM compatibility, engine model, fuel octane, current calibration, pulley setup, camshaft installation requirements, intercooler water system configuration, flame arrestor configuration, and complete installation requirements before ordering.

Boat speed, plane time, and acceleration results depend on boat design, propping, atmospheric conditions, operating environment, driver input, and the complete engine package.
