WHIPPLE INTERCOOLER KIT FOR MERCURY RACING 575 SCI

The Whipple Intercooler Kit for Mercury Racing 575 SCI applications is designed to add reliable, charge-cooled performance to the Mercury Racing 575 SCI engine package. Developed by Whipple's EFI and supercharging team, this low-profile intercooler package includes a new intake manifold, Whipple CuNi intercooler core, supercharger pulley, and the hardware required for installation.

This package is engineered to increase power while maintaining strong reliability on pump gas. With the supplied Whipple ECM recalibration service, the system is designed to compensate for cooler charge air and increased boost. Power increases are listed at nearly 100 HP and 125 lb-ft of torque, while the low-profile design requires only 1.625" of additional height.

LOW-PROFILE WHIPPLE CuNi COOLER

The Whipple low-profile marine intercooler uses CuNi cupronickel intercooler technology for durability, corrosion resistance, and thermal efficiency in demanding marine environments. Unlike aluminum cores or coated cores that can corrode over time, Whipple CuNi intercooler construction uses cupronickel water passages for corrosion resistance in brackish lake water and ocean saltwater environments.

The core also uses copper-alloy air fins to support efficient heat transfer. This combination of cupronickel water passages and copper-alloy air fins helps make the Whipple marine intercooler a strong choice for sustained marine performance where durability and temperature control are both critical.

PERFORMANCE AND DURABILITY

The Whipple CuNi intercooler core uses an offset fin design with a high fin count on the air side to increase surface area and improve charge-air temperature reduction. The core features a rugged bar-plate design, TIG-welded construction, and a 3-pass water-flow layout designed to make full use of the cooler core under varying water-flow conditions.

Cupronickel construction also provides a major durability advantage in harsh environments. Compared with aluminum, cupronickel offers a significantly higher melting point and stronger resistance to corrosion in marine use. This makes the Whipple CuNi cooler well suited for high-load marine supercharger applications.

ECM RECALIBRATION

Whipple ECM recalibration service is included with this kit. Whipple reflashes the original ECM for proper fuel and spark control to support the intercooler package, cooler charge air, and increased boost level.
