The Mercury Racing 500 HP / 540 Bulldog Whipple 3.3L Supercharger System is designed for compatible carbureted Mercury Racing marine engine applications that need a complete supercharger package with strong low-end torque, improved cruising performance, faster planing, and increased top-end power.

Built around Whipple twin-screw supercharger technology, this system is designed to deliver instant boost response without the lag associated with centrifugal-style superchargers. The twin-screw design helps produce strong torque at low RPM while continuing to support horsepower at higher engine speeds, giving the boat more responsive acceleration and a broader usable power range.

The Whipple 500 HP / 540 Bulldog supercharger system is designed around the stock carburetor, helping keep the package cleaner and more integrated than carburetor-box style systems. With approximately 6 psi of boost, the system is listed to increase power by nearly 50% in supported applications while maintaining consistent idle behavior and easy in-gear operation when properly installed and tuned.

Whipple also incorporates an air-bypass system that equalizes pressure above and below the supercharger during light-load operation.
