That is exactly what the Whipple Gen 6 system delivers for GM's 5.3L L83 SUV platform.

Whipple Superchargers has been at the forefront of twin-screw supercharging technology since 1987, engineering some of the most powerful and efficient forced-induction systems in the industry. That experience carries directly into the Gen 6 3.0L system for 2014-2020 GM SUV applications equipped with the 5.3L L83 engine, delivering substantial airflow, strong drivability, and serious performance potential in a 50-state legal package.

At the center of the system is Whipple's Gen 6 3.0L twin-screw supercharger, designed to support excellent airflow and immediate boost response. The oversized Crusher 112mm inlet, patented dual-pass dual-core intercooler design, and high-capacity intercooler system work together to support strong airflow, lower air charge temperatures, and broad usable torque throughout the RPM range.

To support that level of performance, the package uses a high-flow intercooler pump, filler reservoir, and massive low-temp heat exchanger to improve cooling efficiency under demanding conditions. The kit also includes the hardware needed for a complete bolt-on installation, including a supplied LT4 3-bar TMAP sensor, high-flow filter element, Whipple air inlet tube, throttle body adapter for 5.3L applications, and HP Tuners RTD support for calibration.

When used as intended, the result is a serious Whipple-powered SUV with stronger drivability, improved towing and load-carrying performance, and repeatable power in a package engineered for real-world use.

Application Notes:

Fits 2014-2020 GM SUV applications only. Does not fit 2014-2018 truck or 2021-2026 SUV applications.

For 2014-2016 Truck/SUV 5.3/6.2 applications, PCM and TCM read are supported. For 2017-up Truck/SUV 5.3/6.2 applications, PCM read is supported and TCM unlock may be required depending on transmission configuration. Never read the FSCM.

For 2017-2020 model years, HP Tuners unlock service may be required for custom calibration and added performance flexibility. This is not required for proper operation and is not included with the system.

The supplied calibration is intended for stock engines only. Long tube headers, cat removal, and unsupported inlet changes are not supported with the supplied Whipple calibration.

Never go WOT until the intercooler system is fully bled.
