As the first to introduce positive displacement superchargers to fuel-injected platforms, Whipple has built a reputation for bolt-on horsepower, OEM-caliber reliability, and industry-leading thermal efficiency. Designed, manufactured, and assembled in the USA at Whipple Superchargers' facility in Fresno, California, this Super Duty system reflects decades of Whipple development across both OEM and high-performance applications.
At the center of the package is the front-entry Gen 6 W185AX 3.0L / 3000cc Whipple twin-screw supercharger, featuring Whipple's exclusive 3x4 rotor combination for increased RPM capacity, increased airflow, and improved sealing efficiency. The Gen 6 system is paired with an oversized Crusher™ 150mm inlet and a unique billet 132mm Whipple Roval throttle body that dramatically outflows the stock 80mm throttle body, giving the 7.3L Godzilla engine the airflow capacity needed for serious power under load.
Nobody puts more time and resources into development than Whipple. The proof is in the product. The key to making that power is the Whipple twin-screw compressor, the oversized air-to-water intercooler package, the billet 132mm Roval throttle body, the Crusher inlet system, and Whipple's calibration strategy that reconfigures the necessary engine and transmission functions while maintaining excellent drivability.
Thermal control is a major part of the Whipple advantage. The patented dual-pass, dual-core intercooler system offers nearly twice the area of many other designs, while the massive air-to-water aluminum bar-plate intercooler package, largest standard dual-pass heat exchanger, and high-flow intercooler pump help maintain stable air charge temperatures even when the truck is working hard. The inverted layout also gives Whipple the room for a massive intercooler core and extra plenum volume below the core for reduced pressure drop and better use of the available cooling surface area.
The included Whipple Tomahawk flash tool gives customers a straightforward way to request and load the calibration, flash the PCM, read and clear codes, adjust tire and axle settings, and datalog using Whipple's supplied PID lists. This helps make the system more complete for real-world Super Duty owners who want both power and control over the final setup.
Just as important, the system is designed as a complete bolt-on package with no cutting or grinding on the engine block, no internal engine modifications required, and fitment under the factory hood. The kit includes the major parts and hardware needed for installation, along with Bosch high-flow injectors, billet -8 AN fuel rails, plug-and-play wiring, proven 6-rib drive system, and OEM-style quick-connect fittings.
