WHIPPLE SUPERCHARGER SYSTEM

The Whipple Supercharger System for compatible 2002-2017 Mercury Marine 357 Mag 4V, 383 Mag 4V, and 385 Performance Tuned reman small block engines is designed for customers who want big block-style power and torque without the added weight and fuel economy penalties of a larger engine package.

Whipple twin-screw supercharger technology delivers instant boost response and broad torque across the RPM range. Unlike power adders that need RPM before they become effective, the Whipple twin-screw design can generate boost quickly with throttle input, helping compatible Mercury reman small block engines deliver stronger low-speed torque, faster planing, improved acceleration, and increased top-end power when the complete setup supports it.

This system is designed to give the 357 Magnum 4V, 383 Magnum 4V, and 385 Performance Tuned engines a major increase in power while keeping the compact size and weight advantages of the Mercury reman small block platform. Listed power levels are 475 HP for the 357 Magnum, 515 HP for the 383 Magnum, and 515 HP for the 385 Performance Tuned application in supported configurations.

Each system is set up with a conservative 5-6 psi boost configuration and is designed for 91 octane minimum fuel. Whipple also provides ECM/PCM calibration support to properly manage fuel, spark, and engine protection strategies for the supercharged application. The system is designed to work with factory wiring in supported applications.
