The 2001-2010 Mercury Marine 496/8.1L Magnum Base/HO 3.3L Whipple Supercharger Kit is designed for compatible SmartCraft PCM555 engines with a standard throttle cable. This kit is not intended for DTS applications.

Built around Whipple twin-screw supercharger technology, this system is designed to deliver instant boost response, strong low-speed torque, faster planing, improved cruising performance, and increased top-end power. Unlike power adders that need RPM before they become effective, the Whipple twin-screw design can generate boost quickly with throttle input, giving the 496/8.1L Magnum platform a broader and more responsive power curve.

The system is designed around approximately 5-6 psi of intercooled boost and is listed to increase power by nearly 50% in supported applications. Whipple includes PCM recalibration to support proper engine management, along with fuel system and sensor upgrades required for the supercharged setup.

This kit includes a 3.3L twin-screw supercharger, massive oversized twin-bore throttle body, PCM recalibration, 2-bar MAP sensor, high-flow fuel injectors, Aeromotive fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, fuel cooler, fuel filter, fuel line kit, plug-and-play wiring harness, billet 10-rib adjustable belt system, and billet pulleys.
