2020-2024 FORD EXPLORER 2.3L ECOBOOST STAGE 1 (50-STATE LEGAL)

Whipple brings its industry-leading upgrade technology to the 2.3L Explorer with the 50-state legal Stage 1 kit. This package combines the massive Whipple Mega Cooler intercooler, a high-flow replacement air filter, and an all-new calibration to deliver stronger power, refined drivability, and consistent performance.

The Whipple Mega Cooler provides 214% greater volume and 259% more projected frontal area than stock for class-leading cooling. Bar-and-plate construction with offset fins on both the hot and cold sides dramatically reduces charge temperatures, showing approx. 70 deg F drops on the dyno and even larger reductions during steady-state torture testing. Colder, denser air improves spark advance and helps the engine make reliable, repeatable power pull after pull.

Developed by Whipple's Ford calibration team for 91+ octane, the Stage 1 tune adds up to +50 HP under the curve, +40 HP at peak rpm, and approx. +90 lb-ft at approx. 3000 rpm*. The calibration refines the shift schedule, raises RPM shift points, sharpens pedal mapping, and disables auto start/stop. All factory drive modes remain intact. The Whipple flash tool simplifies updates and supports DTC read and erase, live data, and advanced logging.
