At the heart of the system is Whipple’s latest Gen 6 3.0L twin-screw supercharger, featuring an all-new inlet design and optimized 3x4 rotor pack for higher airflow, higher RPM capability and lower charge temps than traditional roots-style systems. The inverted supercharger layout nests the blower deep in the valley, pushing air through massive patented dual-pass dual intercoolers and down the runners for mind-blowing real-world performance.

Unlike simple “dual cooler” designs, the Whipple patent uses each intercooler core twice, multiplying effective surface area and delivering industry-leading thermal efficiency. Paired with the largest dual-pass front mount heat exchanger and a high-flow intercooler pump, this system is built to keep intake air temps under control pull after pull—on the street, at the track or while towing.

Nobody puts more development time into late-model truck calibration than Whipple. Using proprietary, supercharger-specific tuning software, Whipple engineers recalibrated fuel, spark, knock control, torque management, transmission shift strategy and electronic throttle control to deliver power that feels factory-refined—just turned way up. The PCM continuously monitors torque output and key parameters; if anything drifts out of spec, it can reduce boost and protect the powertrain, giving you performance and peace of mind in one package.

The latest F-150 platforms are speed density based and tied into an advanced 10-speed transmission, which makes them extremely difficult to calibrate using generic handheld tuners. Whipple solves this with a 3-bar MAP sensor and dedicated air-temp sensor to accurately measure boost and adjust spark across the entire RPM range. The 10-speed is recalibrated to keep the truck in its ideal torque window while retaining off-road, tow, eco and sport modes—so you keep all the features you paid for, just with a lot more power.

Every Stage 1 kit includes the Whipple Tomahawk OBDII flash tool, so you don’t have to buy an additional tuner or ship out your PCM. Load the calibration through the OBDII port, read and clear codes, and even adjust wheel/tire size and axle ratio (a Whipple exclusive). The system is also designed to be OTA-safe, so Ford’s over-the-air updates don’t overwrite your Whipple tune and leave you with an unexpected no-start or “stock” feeling truck.
