That is exactly what the Whipple Gen 6 system delivers for GM's 5.3L L84 platform.

Whipple Superchargers has been at the forefront of twin-screw supercharging technology since 1987, developing some of the most powerful and efficient forced-induction systems in the industry. That legacy continues with the Whipple system for 2019-2022 GM truck and SUV applications equipped with the 5.3L L84 V8, delivering substantial power gains in a fully engineered bolt-on package designed for real-world drivability and long-term reliability.

At the center of the system is Whipple's Gen 6 3.0L twin-screw supercharger, built to deliver strong airflow, immediate boost response, and broad torque throughout the RPM range. On qualifying applications, the system is capable of producing up to 595 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque on 93-octane fuel, giving the L84 platform a dramatic increase in performance while maintaining the drivability expected from a properly developed Whipple package.

To support that level of output, the system uses an oversized air-to-water intercooler, a massive dual-pass heat exchanger, and a high-flow water pump to help maintain consistent air charge temperatures under load. The package also includes a high-flow intake manifold, LT4 3-bar TMAP sensor, billet idler plate, adjustable tensioner system, and the components needed for a complete bolt-on installation.

The system is designed around stock-engine applications and includes calibration support for HP Tuners E90 and E93 Global A PCM configurations. Premium fuel of 91 octane or better is required, and the supplied calibration is intended to work with the factory air box, factory MAF, and Whipple air inlet duct. When used as intended, the result is a substantial gain in power for towing, daily driving, and performance use without sacrificing overall drivability.
