There are few modern muscle car platforms that respond to boost like the sixth-generation Camaro LT1. With its 6.2L V8, rear-wheel-drive layout, and strong factory performance baseline, the car already delivers an engaging driving experience. Add a properly engineered Whipple twin-screw supercharger system, and the result is a dramatic increase in torque, throttle response, and top-end power that completely changes how the car pulls through the RPM range.

Whipple Superchargers has been at the forefront of twin-screw supercharging technology since 1987, engineering some of the most powerful and efficient forced-induction systems in the industry. That experience carries directly into the Gen 6 3.0L system for the 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro LT1, delivering serious airflow capacity, substantial power potential, and the drivability expected from a fully engineered Whipple package.

At the center of the system is Whipple's Gen 6 3.0L twin-screw supercharger, designed to support exceptional airflow and immediate boost response. On qualifying applications, the system is capable of producing up to 875 horsepower under ideal conditions. The oversized Crusher inlet, large displacement compressor, and high-flow intercooler system work together to support strong airflow, excellent throttle response, and broad power throughout the RPM range.

To support that level of output, the system uses dual high-density intercoolers with a patented dual-pass intercooler core system, along with an oversized heat exchanger and intercooler pump circuit designed to improve cooling efficiency under demanding conditions. The package also includes an adjustable 10-rib belt system, NHRA-approved ATI harmonic balancer, LT4 3-bar TMAP sensor, and HP Tuners RTD support for calibration.

When used as intended, the result is a serious Camaro LT1 upgrade built for strong street and performance use, with 50-state legal compliance for qualifying applications and the hardware needed for a complete Whipple installation.

Application Notes:

Subframe spacer installation must be completed prior to supercharger installation on this application.

The included subframe spacer kit covers 2016 and up Camaro and Camaro ZL1 applications and includes 12 total 3/8" spacers. Final torque is 37 ft-lbs in a cross pattern.

For 2016 Camaro 6.2L applications, PCM and TCM read are supported. For 2017-up Camaro 6.2L applications, PCM read is supported, but TCM requires unlock service and is not handled through the standard RTD process. Never read the FSCM.

The supplied calibration is intended to work with the Whipple intake configuration. Changes to the air inlet system require a custom tune, which Whipple does not provide.

Calibration request should be completed before beginning installation. Whipple calibration processing may take up to 1-2 business days, and supplied files are locked to the provided RTD tool.
